Industrial Consultants Group was started in 2020 by Drew LaVallee. Following his love for fabrication and design, the company quickly found it's home in custom made handrails, gates and decorative metal work. Serving Rhode Island and surrounding areas, ICG has helped over 100 customer's bring their ideas to life. We understand that sometimes it can be hard to visualize a project, this is why we offer in house CAD rendering and project detail drawings to help you through every step of the process.
Approval Drawings
Often it is hard to envision a project you may have floating in your mind. With any purchase of a railing package you will be given approval drawings as well as renderings to help bring light to your project. Shop drawings can quickly add up on any project, typically ranging between $450.00 - 650.00! Other competitors may just draw out a sketch and expect you to understand their thought process. With ICG, you do not only receive this service for free (change orders/revisions excluded) but you are also able to visually see your project come to life!
Materials / Fabrication
At first glance many will assume a handrail... is simply a handrail. It is not until you see the difference in quality that you will understand what makes our projects one of a kind and above the competition. Our handrails and gates are designed and fabricated with the best possible materials for your project. Take for example exterior handrails, many you see today are constructed with hollow steel tube, unwelded seams, and even sharp edges! Our traditional exterior handrails are constructed with solid posts, pickets and toe rails, with every joint fully welded and blended prior to moving to paint! Our modern style handrails are built with thick, 00.12 wall-welded tube and solid round pickets, fully welded and blended to give you the highest quality product.
Paint
Paint may be the most overlooked part of a handrail project , causing finishes to dull, fade, or worse... rust! We take our paint very seriously, offering in-house paint with over 1,000 colors to choose from! Our paint is applied over an industrial grade primer and sprayed with a professional grade HPLV gun. We offer a 2 part automotive grade paint that not only provides your product with UV protection but also offers you any color you may like (pricing varies). Most homes will do just fine with a satin black finish but if you are looking to have your home stand out amongst the neighborhood, you may enjoy our “Grey Black” or “Terra Brown” as well! We also offer Galvanized finishes or even a Color Galv. to give you the most protection through any weather!
Installation
A product is only as good as its installation. We at ICG are equipped with the best tools to complete your job, both in our shop and on our trucks. Drilling holes into stone or concrete may seem like a scary scenario, but with the right tools, it provides the best results for safety and longevity. Our shop trucks are equipped with on-board power so no need to worry about access to power for your project. Offering weekend installation, we work with you to ensure your project gets done.
